E-Learning Products for GCSE ICT
My digital learning design skills were first demonstrated as a teacher when I designed and created a revision CD-ROM for GCSE Information Technology using the multimedia authoring software Illuminatus. As part of the design process, I collaborated with several students requesting ongoing feedback regarding the user interface and created the package in my spare time. The finished product received positive feedback from both students and ICT teachers who used the revision package, and exam results improved.
I taught web design basics using the HTML editing program Adobe Dreamweaver and in my spare time created a website for students to access learning resources both in lessons and at home. With the aid of my website, my department achieved its best ever %A*-C results in my first year as Head of Department (86% in 2012 compared with 72% in 2011).
