Removing a background
1) Download one of the rose images, save it in your user area, and open it in Fireworks:

2) Download one of these backgrounds, save it in your user area, and open it in Fireworks:

3) Using the Magic Wand tool, click on the black background. You may need to increase the "Tolerance" number at the bottom. Press "Delete" or "Backspace" on the keyboard.
4) Either go to Select on the Menu ribbon and choose "Deselect", or simply double-click on the flower.
5) Copy the flower (Edit/Copy) and paste it (Edit/Paste) onto the background you have chosen.
6) If you need to change the size of the flower, choose Modify...Transform...Scale, and resize.
